Agenda for Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Dialogue on 6th July 2007

1. To seek for diesel subsidy quota to 4 times i.e. 1800Litres x 4 = 7,200 litres and 2,160litres x 4 = 8,640 litres per month;

2. To allocate the same diesel subsidy of that provided to fishing boat i.e. at RM1.00/litre fixed price of diesel;

3. To allow the Association to play the role of distribution of subsidised diesel to genuine transporters and regulate them to avoid further abuse;

4. To include articulated vehicle to the subsidised diesel category as that of prime mover. Since they are the same type of vehicle but defer by name only and similarly cargo truck should accord the same status as cargo AM;

5. The diesel subsidy applications took longer time to approve and at times the applicants do not know the status of approval. They have to resubmit applications again. Suggest that KPDN to give a reference number and state the time frame for the approval;

6. Objection to the Puspakom increase of inspection fee on 1^st August 2007; and

7. Sulphur content of diesel and its quality.
